NERD
My friend Mary made this page for me (actually, the whole website) and I can't really argue with her assessment of me as "nerd."
(Although, I'm not sure she had to capitalize it.)
It's true. I memorize poetry for fun. I think that says it all.
As further proof of my nerdiness, I run a "Coffee & Classics Book Club" and I would rather sit on my couch and read with my dog in my lap than do virtually anything else in the world.
However, I wasn't always quite this lame. (See below.)

Radio Days
Once upon a time, I was a DJ. The kind on FM radio. This was before the Internet. And Satellite radio. People had to make telephone calls (shudder) to make requests on my Lovesongs Show. Sometimes, they even wrote letters and mailed them to the station. I'm telling you friends, it was a different world.
This was a great job. I did it for many years before bailing out of broadcasting to TEACH broadcasting to kids in high school. That was also a great job, and I still talk to many of my former students. Such fun memories!
Actual Decades Later:
The hair has changed.
I work at the library now.
It's like the show "The Office,"
but with books.
I also write books. Figured out how to do that during the pandemic.
All kinds of books are coming your way, people.
Romances, Mysteries, books about radio, books about the library.
Prepare yourselves.
